I apologize to everyone who may have kept up with this blog because as you know I haven't updated in several months. But obviously we have a new President taking office in a few days and he deserves our utmost respect and honor as God has put him in place for such a time as this. Although with rising tensions in the Middle East among the PLO and Israel, a global economic crisis, and an ever increasing trend towards socialism in the USA; we must remember to put our trust in God rather than man. With that said, some thoughts on the President-elect and the election.
McCain ran a poor race and Obama had the charisma and spunk unlike any politician before him. Plus, with eight years of republican President Bush, all Obama had to do was say he wasn't republican. This has been the trend throughout most elections in the US where an incumbent was not running and the populace was tired of the current party. Granted I didn't like McCain all that much and Sarah Palin, gag me, but Obama I was more afraid of than McCain. All I can say is look at what Obama does within the first ninety days of his administration and that will be your litmus test whether or not he'll be a good President. I'm all for change, even change I may not agree with, change for the most part is good. However, if change involves giving up my constitutional rights or the government not doing what it should or doing what it shouldn't (as defined in the Constitution); you had better believe I'll be upset and cause a ruckus.
Oh and Hillary Clinton as Sec. of State, I think she'll do a great job. Since she is respected in the global community as well as her husband's standing as former President, it will do a lot to help the United States in this critical time.
God Bless and keep praying for our leaders.
